The two-month-old was taken to Texas Children's Hospital where she died. She was picked up at her home at 8122 Rockford after she was reported to be unresponsive. Authorities say she was under foster care. The couple caring for her also had grown children. Police are waiting for the autopsy results. One thing they did say was that the child had no visible injuries.
The case centers around Brandon Trenelle Washington's murder. He as fatally show inside an apartment at 8801 S. Braeswood Boulevard at 9 p.m. on April 25. Washington's body was found lying in the courtyard outside building 1700. More than 100 illegal immigrants are in custody. They were picked up during a six day sweep of eight Texas cities. The immigration raids were part of Operation Community Shield. Authorities say that nearly half of the arrests were made in Houston. Other cities raided include Bryan, Conroe, Sugar Land, Richmond, Corpus Christi, Beaumont and Galveston. In all, federal, state and local agencies arrested 149 people. Nearly 70 of them are suspected gang members. Apartment complex residents at 31 Casa Grande heard men arguing in the parking lot at 10:30 p.m. ...A Harris County man is dead after shooting himself, deputies said. ...On Monday May 5, 2008 at 11:15 am 3 black males entered the Eagle Jewelry Store at 5901 Westheimer acting as customers. When the store manager went to assist another customer, the 3 suspects attacked her and forced the manager and the customer to the floor. After the suspects handcuffed the manager and the customer together, they entered the safe area and took large amounts of cash and jewelry.
Police are looking for a suspected bank robber in Pearland. At approximately 3:16 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, a black male robbed the Associated Credit Union of Texas, located inside a Randall's on FM 518.
