Two people walking separately at the Fondren Inn Motel were shot late Sunday night.
Police said around 11:30 p.m., someone in a dark Ford Expedition opened fire on the two.
The woman was shot in the arm, and the man was shot in the abdomen.
The shooting is apparently random, as the two victims did not know each other.
