Homeowner assaulted during botched home invasion

A San Antonio reserve police officer who lives in Houston was attacked Friday morning.

Deputies said someone tried to break into the home on Stone Oak Court and Huffmeister, but the homeowner confronted him.
That's when the suspect assaulted him and fled on foot. Harris County deputies looked for the suspect, but he was not found.
