A quick fix? Suspect chased after allegedly stealing cigarettes

A man accused of stealing about 10 packs of cigarettes from an Exxon didn't get very far Friday morning.

The clerk at the Highway 59 and Murphy Road location quickly called HPD, and a unit happened to be in the area.
The police officer saw the suspect running, so he gave chase. It turned into a foot chase when the suspect was jumping over fences.
He was finally pinned in some barbed wire when HPD caught up with him.
