The 36-year-old baby sitter accused of leaving her friend's child in a hot car last week was in court Monday.
Juliet Castillo's hearing was reset, however.
Prosecutor said Castillo left the child in a black car with the windows rolled up for 30 to 40 minutes.
Some Good Samaritans eventually freed the child, who was taken to the hospital, treated and released.
Castillo claims she was rushing her mother to a doctor's appointment and left the girl alone on accident.
She faces child endangerment charges.
