A man trying to help one of his employees during a taco stand robbery was shot and killed Monday morning
Houston police said it happened around 1:15 a.m. at 13502 Almeda Road.
Resendo Rios, 49, was trying to help his employee, who was being robbed inside the taco stand near his club.
He was shot in the head by another suspect. Rios died at Ben Taub Hospital.
A second suspect robbed another victim in the parking lot before both of them fled in a dark-colored, four-door vehicle.
The first suspect is described only as a man between 20 and 25 years old, 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet 4 inches tall. He was wearing a black muscle shirt and blue jeans and had a tattoo across the back of his neck.
The second suspect is described only a man about 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He has blonde wavy hair and was wearing a white T-shirt and white shorts.
