From the outside, the stately red brick home in Porter appeared normal. But authorities say the homeowner was running a major drug operation inside the house.

From the outside, the stately red brick home in Porter appeared normal. But authorities say the homeowner was running a major drug operation inside the house.

FBI, DEA, and ICE agents joined local police in a raid on the southeast Montgomery home Wednesday morning.

Authorities say they found 2,000 pounds of drugs -- including cocaine, methamphetamines and marijuana.

They say the drugs are worth millions of dollars.

The undercover agents also confiscated $200,000 in cash.

They arrested Donald Miles who will face federal drug charges.

Investigators believe Miles is linked to a multi-state drug ring.

"We've documented several thousand pounds of marijuana and cocaine being shipped from this location to the East Coast," said an undercover officer.

He said the drugs originated in South Texas before being moved to the Porter house, then shipped to other states including North Carolina.

Police officers from North Carolina also took part in Wednesday's bust in Porter.

Neighbors were stunned.

"We go to First Baptist Church around there and they come and visit us a couple of times around there," said Gary Algood.

Algood said Miles and his wife moved into the large home a couple of years ago.

"She was a real nice lady, she seemed like to me but he was just, like I say, an old northside boy, you know," said Algood.

He said he had no idea what the man was allegedly up to when he sold him the home.

11 News has learned that similiar raids were conducted in The Woodlands, Magnolia and in other cities around the country.

You can run, but you CANNOT hide from criminal activity. It is everywhere, just more in some areas than others.

Thank GOD that the drugs were seized and hopefully will be destroyed! So that they never make it to the street to harm anyone.
We, in this country, the U.S.A., have not needed to go to Iraq or any foreign soil to fight terrorism. It's here. Drug matters are terrorism. The officers that took those drugs yesterday are local heroes! First line defense in the war on terrorism!!! Again, Thank GOD!!!!!!!

Thank GOD for what? Making it possible to make drugs? Its your almighty that has landed you in this mess. Maybe we should raid the local stores where the alcohol and tobacco is being sold. Maybe we should instead raid all the houses with televisions, video games and poor parental control so that we can weed out the culprit for drug addiction. People who use drugs often have no imagination. Why? Because they are force fed their views of what is good and bad by the educational systems, the media and above all the religious institutions. Don't mind Suzie, she is being punished for cursing about my cigarette habits. Its all a war on personal freedom. So thank GOD.

How long are until we wise up? Prohibition has never worked. It just causes crime and violence. We're building 900 new prison beds and hiring 150 more correction officers every two weeks. We arrest someone on a drug charge every 17 seconds. We jail more people than any nation. We spend $69 billion a year on the drug war. In 1914 when all drugs were legal 1.3% of our population was addicted to drugs, today 1.3% of our population is STILL addicted to drugs. Over 100,000 people have been killed because of the drug war. The only way to control drugs is to regulate them and end the profits available to criminals just like ending alcohol prohibition did. There’s only been one drug success story in history, tobacco, hands down the most deadly and one of the most addictive drugs. Almost half the users quit because of REGULATION, ACCURATE INFORMATION AND MEDICAL TREATMENT. No one went to jail and no one got killed. JOIN EMAIL LIST - WATCH VIDEOS:
