There may be some patchy fog Thanksgiving morning with lows in the mid to upper 40s north of the lake and 50s south of the lake. Rain chance will be 20% for isolated showers . Highs will be in the mid 70s with more humidity under mostly cloudy skies.

Look for mid 30s north of the lake with patchy frost. Protect plants and pets for Wednesday morning. South of the lake will have upper 30s to low 40s. Wednesday afternoon will be milder in the upper 60s to low 70s with partly cloudy skies.
Thanksgiving will start with some possible fog and cool 50s. Mostly cloudy with a 20% chance for rain in the afternoon and highs in the mid 70s.

There was some wind damage with trees down on Monday afternoon in Pike and Walthall counties. A few severe thunderstorm warnings north of the lake as well. Rainfall amounts north of the lake were around 1/2 inch or less while south of the lake 1/3 of an inch or less.

A line of strong to severe thunderstorms is moving across the area this afternoon and into early evening. Some wind damage reported in Pike and Walthall counties with gusts to 60 mph. Northshore seeing thunderstorms since 1pm and will continue through 4pm hour. Southshore will see activity from 4pm on through 6 or 7pm.

Saturday, November 22 from 9am to 4pm at the Alario Center. Admission: Canned Good or Donation to the Second Havesters Food Bank.

A strong cold front will be coming through late Thursday/Early Friday bringing in windy and colder conditions for Friday. Lows will be in the 40s, but it will feel like 30s. Highs will be in the 50s, but it will feel like 40s.

Temperatures will start in the upper 30s to low 40s north of the lake and 40s south of the lake. Highs will be in the low to mid 70s. A front will arrive after dark and then the winds will pick up again and temperatures will begin to fall.

Winds will pick up earlly Saturday morning and continue strong all of Saturday. Lows Saturday morning behind the front will be only in the 50s, but with the winds, it will feel like 40s. An area of low pressure in the western Gulf of Mexico will move towards our coast on Friday and give us a 50% chance for rain or thunderstorms. A strong cold front will move through late Friday/early Saturday bringing windy and colder air.

Rainfall was .30-.90" north of the lake and south of the lake rainfall was .20" or less on Wednesday. Thursday's rain chance is 30%, but then it goes back up on Friday to 50% as a strong cold front comes through late Friday evening. It will be windy and colder on Saturday.

A great weekend is upon us with lows in the 40s & 50s both days and highs in the lower 70s on Saturday and around 70 on Sunday. Low humidity will continue both days.
The weather will be dry for the LSU, Tulane, and the Atlanta area for the Saints game in the Georgia Dome.

A font will be coming through the area on Friday bringing a chance for a few scattered showers or thunderstorms. The chance for rain is 50%. The rain maybe over by the early afternoon.

TS Paloma will continue to strengthen as it moves towards Cuba and is expected to become a hurricane. It is no threat to the Gulf of Mexico. See our Hurricane page for more info.
