Rain? Mild Weekend?

A couple of isolated showers today as expected. The chance for rain will continue to be 20% this evening and overnight. Rain chance should be over around 6 or 7am Saturday morning.

Some morning fog could be around Saturday with mostly clear skies and highs in the low 70s after lows in the 50s.

Not as cold overnight tonight with mostly 40s for lows. There may be some low 50s in the city.

Friday's temperatures will be milder around 70 with breezy conditions. Rain chance for Friday at 20% for isolated showers.

Any rain chance for Saturday should end around daybreak with a mostly dry mild afternoon. Highs in the low 70s. There may be some morning fog around.

Another cold night tonight with a light freeze again north of the lake. Lows in the upper 20s to low 30s. South of the lake mid 30s with patchy frost. Protect plants on both sides of the lake.

A couple of nights of freezing temps north of the lake to come.

Low 30s north of the lake tonight and upper 30s south. It will still be breezy overnight so it may feel a bit colder than the temps.

A colder air mass is coming for tomorrow. Enjoy today's mid 70 weather. Overnight a chance for spotty showers or thunderstorms. We are not expecting any severe weather.

Highs on Tuesday will be before noon in low to mid 60s, but then fall to 50s and stay in 50s with strong NW winds. Coats and jackets needed for afternoon.

The Shuttle and ISS will again be visible Tuesday evening starting at 6:43pm. The Shuttle and ISS will begin 17 degrees in the SW sky and move to 11 degrees to the Southern sky. This time will only last 2 minutes and will not get as high at 17 degrees.

Severe Weather Threat Just About Over

Most of the severe thunderstorms have moved out of the area. There is still a 30% chance for spotty showers or thunderstorms remainder of today.

Damage reported in Roseland in Tangipahoa parish due to a possible tornado. Also Greensburg in St Helena parish reported a tornado touching down.

An upper feature is moving over the area this afternoon and is producing a few showers. These will be moving out in about 2-3 hrs. A 20% chance this evening and overnight. Fog may develop overnight with lows in the 50s.

Saturday will be breezy and mild with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. Rain chance will be 30% on Saturday.

Saturday night's rain chance will go to 50% in advance of the next system. Early Sunday morning ...

Warmer temperatures coming back.

Overnight tonight/Friday morning there may be some light fog developing with lows in the 40s north of the lake and low 50s south of the lake. With a 20% chance for a shower on Friday, highs will get to around 70.

Saturday's rain chance lowered to 20% with low 70s and breezy conditions.

Nice change from the mild & muggy weather. Highs were in the lower 50s over the area this afternoon.

Great mild weekend. Chilly mornings and mild afternoons with no rain.

Overnight mostly 40s for lows..some low 50s in some parts of southshore. With Mostly clear skies, highs will be in the upper 60s.

Great stretch of weather. Not too warm and not too cold.

A nice stretch of weather through the rest of the week into the weekend. Dry too!

Cold overnight with lows north of the lake in the mid 30s and south of the lake in the low 40s. Highs on Thursday with lots of sunshine in the low 60s.

Friday will be partly cloudy with lows upper 30s north and 40s south. Highs in mid to upper 60s.
