Rain chance tonight and Wednesday at 10% for a stray shower. Lows overnight in the upper 50s north of the lake and 60s south. Wednesday's highs will be in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees.

Halloween evening will see temperatures fall from the 70s to the 60s with still a 10% chance until 8pm.

TS Noel may continue to intensify over the next couple of days and may get very close to SE Florida on Wednesday before curving towards the NE. See our Hurricane page for more details.

Nice weather to continue. 50s Tuesday morning and mid 70s in the afternoon. For Halloween, only a 10% chance for a shower with highs in the upper 70s. Another shot of drier air will come through on Thursday with a front. 10% chance for Thursday also...

Lows next few days not as chilly. Lows will be mostly in the 50s and 60s. Highs in the 70s. A front is expected on Thursday to bring back a nice air mass over us. We may get a bit more muggy for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, but it won't be that bad. We will put a 10% chance for a shower Wednesday & Thursday before the front. Another nice weekend coming up.

Nice cooler than normal temperatures to continue.

Chilly again overnight..40s north of the lake and 40s & 50s south of the lake. Friday will have plenty of sunshine with highs a bit warmer around 70.

Weekend becoming breezy on Saturday and windy on Sunday. Lows again 40s and 50s with highs in the low to mid 70s.

Lows again for Thursday will be in the 40s north of the lake and upper 40s to low 50s south of the lake. With still a breeze, jackets and sweaters will be needed again. Highs will only reach the low 60s in the afternoon with some breaks in the cloud cover.

Temperatures will moderate some for Friday and over the weekend with highs in the 70s.

Early look at Halloween has a 40% chance for rain.

Warm & pretty humid today wtih showers & thunderstorms developing. Some downpours possible. Overnight rain chances to 30% and 40% for Thursday. A front will be moving through Friday morning with a 50% chance for showers & thunderstorms.

A great day today with low humidty and temperatures in the 70s during the afternoon. One more day of low humidity before the muggies start a return on Sunday.

Tropical Depression 15 formed in the Atlantic east of Bermuda. This system will stay out to sea and may not strengthen very much.

Not to bad today, but it'll be better for Thursday & Friday. Dewpoints in the mid 60s this afternoon and they will be lower for Thursday and Friday meaning the air will be drier and feel even better than today. No rain in sight though the weekend.

Rain has just about ended over the area. The cooler drier air is still way up north and won't arrive until Thursday. Wednesday will not be as humid and it will still be warm with highs in the mid 80s.

A cool front is moving into the area. At 2:30pm, it stretches from the Mississippi coastal counties across St Tammany parish and southern Tangipahoa. There is a line of thunderstorms with this front. Rain/T'Storms extend from north of Biloxi to Gulfport to the northern part of Lake Pontchartrain to Lake Maurepas to Baton Rouge. It is a narrow line of thunderstorms with lightning. Humid still for a few more days until a nice shot of cooler and drier air comes our way. Look for scattered showers or thunderstorms this afternoon with some downpours. Highs will be in the 80s.

Rain chances lower on Monday to 40% with highs in the upper 80s. A front will be coming through on Wednesday that will usher in some cooler and drier air that will last through next weekend.

It won't feel like Fall this weekend. Humid and warm with highs in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees. 30% chance for spotty thunderstorms Saturday and 40% on Sunday. There may be more of a breeze on Sunday to help.

The area of low pressure doesn't appear to be gaining any strength, but it is bringing some rain and downpours to the area. Over an inch and a half in Chalmette today and 1.20" in Poydras.

Rain may continue on and off overnight with a 40% chance. 50% chance for Friday with highs in the mid 80s.

Another area over the western Atlantic/Bahama area is being watched for possible development.

Hurricane Hunter aircraft was canceled from investigating the area of low pressure in the Gulf due to it not being organized. There is a circulation, but it lacks thunderstorm activity around it. Some development is still possible to a subtropical or tropical depression during the next 48 hrs.

Another area east of the Bahamas has the potential for development as it moves west towards the Gulf of Mexico.

An Upper Level Low in the SE Gulf has not gotten better organized at the surface. There is still a potential for subtropical development. It still appears that this system will move to our south and stay to our west. Our best chance for rain will be Thursday from this system whether it develops or not.

Isolated thunderstorms possible for Wednesday at 20-30%. It may still be a bit breezy and warm.

Like TD #10, we again have an upper low in the SE Gulf of Mexico and a weak surface low around the Bahamas. This area is being watched for subtropical or tropical development. There is also a lot of dry air in the Gulf which would make development harder to happen. We may get an increase in rain chances on Thursday due to the moisture moving across the Gulf.
