Cold air will be gone for now. More humidity will be felt Saturday through Wednesday. With the increase in moisture comes the possibility of morning fog.
Sunday & Monday will be partly cloudy with highs in the mid 70's.
Rain chances return Tuesday & Wednesday at 30% with mid 70's.
A strong cold front is expected on Thursday bringing back the cold windy conditions.

Have a great Thanksgiving! The weather could not be more perfect for Thanksgiving here in SE LA. After that big meal, get outside and work off some of those calories with a game of football, or even just a brisk walk.

Another front is approaching late on Saturday, but it will come through dry. For Saturday morning scattered frost is possible again north of the lake with mid 30's. South of the lake lower 40's for lows. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 60's.

Many have asked when we show the Pinpoint 7 Day forecast at the end of the weathercast, what are those blue numbers at the bottom of the graphics? The bottom white numbers are the forecast lows for New Orleans. The blue numbers below those white ones are the forecast lows for the northshore. They will be colder than New Orleans' lows.

Thunderstorms have pushed east of the area. No watches in effect over SE Louisiana. Clearing skies remainder of today with increasing winds. Winds are expected to increase to 20-30 mph with gusts to 40 mph this evening and part of tonight.
Turning colder overnight and staying windy. Lows in the 40's on both sides of the lake with wind chills in the 30's.
Highs on Thursday in the upper 50's to lower 60's.

Wednesday morning another round of thunderstorms possibly severe will move through. The time between 5am and noon we could see a line of severe thunderstorms move through SE Louisiana. A Watch may be needed for SE Louisiana for Severe thunderstorms or Tornadoes. It will be windy also during the day Wednesday. Patchy dense fog can be expected again overnight and Friday morning. Another summerlike day for Friday with highs in the low to mid 80's. It will be muggy too.
A 30% chance for spotty showers or isolated thunderstorms late Friday night into Saturday morning with the next front coming through. Veterans Day will have highs in the mid 70's.

Today will be pretty nice with sunshine and mild afternoon temperatures. We should top out around 70 for a high. Still cool for one more night with lows on the northshore in the upper 40's and southshore in the upper 50's. It will become breezy again tonight.

Friday morning will be cold with a breeze also. Air temperatures will drop to mid to upper 30's north of the lake. Frost shouldn't be a problem if winds continue to be up. South of the lake we will see widespread 40's. Highs again Friday will be in the 60's with a little less wind.
Great evening for prep action Friday evening. Temperatures will be in the 50's so a jacket or sweater will be needed.
