Summer doesn't start until 12:45 A.M. next Sunday morning, but summer heat will continue its extended stay through this entire workweek. Each afternoon, highs will generally reach into the mid 90s, with a few of the hot spots even approaching the triple-digit mark. Humidity will also stay high this week, meaning heat indicies will range from 100 to 110 in many areas most middays and afternoons. Even the hope for a cooling afternoon shower or thunderstorm is at a minimum, only at a 10% chance at most, with high pressure in full control. This coming Sunday is also Father's Day. |
