Breezy conditions persist through Sunday due to the change in airmasses over Southeast Louisiana with cold, dry air replacing warm, moist air. A Flash Flood Watch still in effect until Saturday morning for additional heavy rain. A Coastal Flood Warning through Saturday morning for tides running 2-3' above normal. As this latest round of rain clears up, we should note that there is more scheduled to move through late tonight/early Saturday morning. The rain won't be as widespread or as long-lasting as it was this morning. Tonight's rain will be in the form of a line of storms that rolls through along the cold front. There could still be severe weather with tornadoes, damaging winds, hail and lightning, but they should not last as long or create as many ... It's estimates that 6-10" inches of rain has fallen across portions of Terrebonne, Lafourche and St. Charles Parishes this morning because of heavy thunderstorms.
