The tropics just continue to pump moisture in our direction over the next several days, that combined with several upper level storms passing to the north of us, allows for the chance of showers and thunderstorms in the next 7 days. Summertime is usually when SE Louisiana sees most of its rainfall, so it's not unusual for this time of year. However, after a couple of dry years around here... it sure seems like a lot of rain. We are still below average for this year. Tropical depression #2 has formed off the coast of Africa. Numerous model runs continue to move this depression and then Tropical Storm Bertha into the middle of the Atlantic... and nowhwere near the coastal United States. |
