Rain Chances/Disturbance/Bertha

A weak front is moving through this Monday afternoon. We've had severe thunderstorms in St Charles and Tangipahoa parishes today. Still some strong thunderstorms are possible until after sunset. Drier air will move in overnight and it will be less humid, but still hot the next 2-3 days. Any thunderstorm activity will be confined to the coastal areas.

A disturbance in the Atlantic well east of the Lesser Antilles is becoming better organized and could become a depression overnight or Tuesday. A more westerly track is expected with this system and could affect the Caribbean Sea.

Bertha is about 65 miles NE of Bermuda and a Hurricane watch and a Tropical Storm warning have been posted even though Bertha is a Tropical Storm with winds of 70 mph.
