Hurricane Hunter aircraft found tropical storm force winds in what is now TS Dolly in the Caribbean Sea. 2pm coordinates: 18.6 N, 84.5 W, moving to the NW at 15 miles per hour. Current forecast tracks take the storm into the Yucatan Peninsula and then reemerging in the Gulf of Mexico. Landfall expected later this week in northern Mexico or Southern Texas. Computer model forecasts consistently keep this storm in the Southwestern Gulf.

We are hot and steamy on this Sunday. Actual temperatures have topped the triple digits in some locations on the northshore. It is definitely a day to take it easy and drink plenty of water. Expect another day like this on Monday before tropical moisture makes its way into the region Tuesday through Friday providing a better chance of showers and thunderstorms midweek.
