Dolly has now formed into the second hurricane of the 2008 Atlantic Tropical Season and the first hurricane this season in the Gulf Of Mexico. Winds are clocked sustained at 75 mph. The storm is moving to the NW at 10 mph putting this on a direct collision course with northern Mexico and southern Texas midday Wednesday with heavy rain and strong winds, possibly as high as 90 mph. This storm will not be directly affecting Southeastern Louisiana and Coastal Mississippi. Tropical Storm Cristobal is now making its transition into an extratropical storm off the Eastern Seaboard. |
