We are starting off with mostly clear skies across SE Louisiana this morning. We are waiting for showers and thunderstorms in the central Gulf of Mexico to begin making their way into our region later this afternoon and this evening. The showers will continue in the overnight hours into Saturday morning, before more heavy downpours move in Saturday afternoon. Highs will be in the 80s.
