Persistent high pressure is allowing for hot & humid conditions to remain over our region through the weekend. High temperatures once again this afternoon will be in the 90-95 degree range. Combine the afternoon highs with dewpoint temperatures in the mid 70s, and we are seeing "feels like" temperatures in the upper 90s to 100 degrees. Breezy conditions once again this Friday afternoon. The models do show a shift in the pattern by the middle of next week, when more Gulf moisture will stream Northward and give us better daily rain chances. Right now the tropics are quiet, and look to stay that way for the next few days. |
