As mentioned before, it doesn't matter how low the rain chance is, any thunderstorm can become strong when we have heat in the low to mid 90s.

On Tuesday afternoon, a thunderstorm over Metaire and Uptown produced small hail. Reports of pea size hail in Old Metairie, Uptown at Carrolton & Claiborne, and Carrolton & St Charles. 1.8" of rain was reported at Old Metairie.

Showers & thunderstorms will be on the increase Wednesday with rain chances at 40% and 50% Thursday through Saturday.
