A cloudy and cool Saturday forecast with afternoon temperatures struggling to reach the 70s. A cold front moved through in the overnight hours with tremendous lightning and consequently thunder, but no real reports of damage. We did have some flash flooding concerns, but the threat for severe weather ended by about 7am. Look for overcast skies to remain in the picture for most of Saturday before we'll see some clearing in the overnight hours. Temperatures will warm back up to the upper 70s by Sunday. As far as some of the overnight weather reports: A heavy storm in St. Charles parish dumped 1" hail around Des Allemands. On the MS Gulf Coast, radar estimates of 8"+ have been noted in Hancock and Harrison counties. |
