A broken line of showers and storms will be moving through the metro area between 6pm and 9pm. The cold front that will bring an end to the rain as well as the warm and humid conditions is moving through the Baton Rouge region at this hour, and is expected to move through New Orleans in the evening hours.

The heavy rain activity that could have brough another round of flooding conditions to New Orleans is maintaining itself along outer coastal waters.

Isolated thunderstorms earlier dropped between 1-3" of rain across parts of Metairie and downtown New Orleans today.
