Gorgeous day for Saturday parades... afternoon temperatures in the upper 60s, winds out of the Southeast at about 7 miles per hour. Tonight, partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the 60s, then 50s on both the northshore and southshore. Bit of a concern for the Super Krewe of Bacchus rolling Sunday night. Currently there is a 50% chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms around 5:30 Sunday night. Winds will also be increasing to 12-20 miles per hour of the Southeast. We'll have a continual update on the chance for showers as we get closer to Sunday evening. Monday.. parade forecast looks good. Temps in the 70s Monday night with just a slight chance for an isolated showers. Tuesday.. Currently there is a 70% chance for showers and thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and evening. Temperatures will be in the upper 70s during the day Tuesday. Today is Groundhog Day... the day where Punxsutawney Phil comes out and predicts whether winter will continue.
