A strong Gulf Low will be impacting the Gulf Coast and Greater New Orleans over the next 24 hours. This means plenty of rain, with a 1-2" of rain. This will also be accompanied by gale force winds along the coast. A coastal flood watch extends from Waveland, MS to Port Fourchon, LA for tides to run 2-3' above normal. Some minor flooding may occur outside the protected levee area.

A Flash Flood Watch in effect through Wednesday afternoon for 2-3" with some heavier amounts for St Tammany and southshore parishes. Street flooding will be a possibility.

There is also a Wind Advisory for the area for Wednesday for winds from the E/NE 20-30 mph with gust to 45 mph.

For Wednesday, it will be windy and chilly for this time of year with high temperatures only into the lower and middle 50's with wind chills hard-pressed to get out of the 40's in many spots.
