Currently, as of 1pm... I'm watching an area of thunderstorms just south of Terrebonne Bay and Timbalier Island. The area is showing signs of rotation as well as damaging winds in excess of 60 miles per hour. Boaters near Terrebonne Bay should seek safe harbor. Otherwise, light to moderate and even heavy rainfall is falling across parts of Southeast Lousiana as a storm system propels itself across the forecast area in the next 12 hours. We are expecting the possibility of strong storm, with strong winds and heavy rainfall. We will cut into programming on Ch. 4 with any weather warnings as well as keep you up to date on our I-Weathercasts. |
