Folks have been getting used to turning the clocks back the week before Halloween... ending Daylight Saving Time. However, this year, daylight saving time has been extended due to the 2005 Energy Policy Act. So, you have to wait next week, November 3rd and 4th to change the clocks back.
High pressure is building in at the surface. When a high pressure system remains to our north, it leads to a dry, stable airmass, like the one in place over us. Because it built in close to the area of low pressure to our east... we are seeing strong winds this weekend. Expect these to start subsiding Wednesday. An area of high pressure will build off the Eastern Seaboard starting Tuesday, allowing for warmer temperatures to come back into the picture for the middle of the week, and also a chance of rain.
