A cool front is moving into the area. At 2:30pm, it stretches from the Mississippi coastal counties across St Tammany parish and southern Tangipahoa. There is a line of thunderstorms with this front. Rain/T'Storms extend from north of Biloxi to Gulfport to the northern part of Lake Pontchartrain to Lake Maurepas to Baton Rouge. It is a narrow line of thunderstorms with lightning. They will be on the southshore between 3 & 3:30pm this afternoon.
Wednesday will be not as humid, but still warm. The cooler drier air will not get here until Thursday and over the weekend. Highs will be in the mid 80's.
Hurricane hunters did not go out into the NW Caribbean Sea, but development is still possible just off the Yucatan Penisula.
