Officially, not yet. The Autumnal Equinox takes place at 4:51am on Sunday, September 23rd. A cold front has passed through the area, bringing cooler, drier air. However, after an upper level trough passes quickly across the Eastern Seaboard, a ridge of high pressure will build in once again, warming us up for the beginning of the workweek. As far as the extended outlook, we're watching the possibility of an upper level low developing to our east. This could be our rainmaker Thursday through Saturday. There's also the possiblity of a tropical disturbance developing in the Caribbean Sea toward the middle of the week. Continue to monitor our tropical updates both in our I-Weather updates at 10am, 4pm, and 10pm as well as our hurricane page for the latest information.
