Rain...Saints...Tropics...

A little bit of everything weatherwise this Monday morning!

Look for rain showers developing today, with some embedded heavier showers. The moisture should keep our temps down to near normal, with highs in the mid 80s.

For the Saints game tonight, it's a good thing the team plays in the Dome! Rain chances are high at 60%, so if you have to walk from your car to the game, make sure you have those raincoats/umbrellas. Go Saints!

Out in the tropics, there are a couple of waves in the Atlantic that we'll watch. One near the Windward Islands hasn't really strengthened overnight, but still has potential. The one I am watching more closely is the one farther out in the Atlantic, just off the African coastline. It continues to look better organized, and could become our next storm. It is a long way away, and we shouldn't worry about this one yet (if ever). This time of year, climatology shows that most of these storms turn North out into the open water. Even if it kept up a westward motion, shearing winds increase in October, and can shred these storms apart. So, this shouldn't worry you, it's just something out there to watch.
