With some isolated showers and storms in the area today, there will be relief from the heat for some.

Over the weekend, expect more showers and storms to develop, with locally heavy rain possible.

There was one strong slow moving storm which dumped an estimated 2-3" of rain between Loyola and Williams in Kenner, with some pea size hail.
