10am Hurricane Dean... Sunday's Weather

10am Coordinates: 17.0 N, 75.1 W, moving west at 18 miles per hour, max. sustained winds 145 miles per hour, 926 mb... no real change to the track.

Computer models are still in good agreement on this Sunday, keeping Dean far south and west of South Louisiana on a course for the Yucatan Peninsula, possibly below Cozumel, crossing a larger portion of the peninsula, before crossing into the southwestern Gulf of Mexico. Hurricane Dean was on a bit of a WNW track for Saturday, but now is headed directly west, again possibly sparing portions of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms possible across SE Louisiana this afternoon, with highs in the low 90s. After some flooding yesterday in Harahan, it's a reminder that isolated thunderstorms in the summertime can cause flashing flooding in small streams and roadways.
