You may have heard me mentionn on the air a few times that it is best to wait until after Easter to plant. Historically, we can have a freeze as late as the 1st week in April. The latest freeze was April 8th, 1971 at Armstrong Int'l Airport. Now I'm not expecting a freeze on the southshore, but north of the lake will see 30's over the weekend, but on Monday morning there may be frost or even a light freeze in some spots. Temperatures will be well below normal over the weekend not only in the morning, but in the afternoon as well. A system will bring rain as well. Rain may be in the area as soon as Saturday afternoon and Easter Sunday looks wet and breezy and chilly. We will have to keep an eye on morning temperatures north of the lake Sunday morning with rain in the area. |
