Another storm system is bringing widespread showers and storms to parts of south-central and southwest Louisiana. A tornado watch has been in effect today for parts of south Louisiana from Baton Rouge to Lake Charles. A newly issued Tornado Watch for parts of SW Mississippi will continue until 9pm. Most of the severe storms will remain north of our area, although there may be a few strong storms developing in SE Louisiana overnight. The main risk with these storms will be heavy rain, gusty winds and hail, with a tornado possible as well. Much of the rain will be through by commute time Thursday morning.
