A pretty large cluster of thunderstorms is affecting drivers along Interstate 10 from Bay St. Louis to Mobile Alabama at about 11am... and it looks like it may continue to dump heavy rainfall for the next hour along that route before slightly shifting to the north. Other areas of concern on the Pinpoint Doppler right now are Mississippi counties along our northern border. Some pretty heavy rain around Liberty and McComb. Throughout the afternoon, there is the possibility of heavy thunderstorms and rain showers affecting SE Louisiana. Lots of moisture from the Gulf, coupled with a stationary front to our West will allow for continued development of thunderstorms during the afternoon Sunday. Some areas could see localized flooding. As of 11am, most of the parishes in the Louisiana viewing area remain rain free, but again we have the possibility of scattered showers and thunderstorms developing this afternoon. |
