Increasing chance of showers and thunderstorms this Saturday afternoon. We've bumped up the chance of showers to 50% for the afternoon... increasing to a 70% chance overnight Saturday night into Sunday morning. Lots of moisture will help feed into a a large frontal system approaching from SW Lousiana. The tail end of the front will slowly drag across SE Lousiana later tonight into Sunday providing a chance of showers through the weekend. We may see a little bit of a break late Sunday into Monday. There is a slight risk of severe weather tonight... with gusty winds, hail and locally heavy rainfall. As of 1pm, some heavier rain cells were starting to pop up on the northshore. No watches or warnings yet. |
