Nice sunshine back in the Big Easy and Gulf Coast. Temperatures have responded nicely, and we're in the mid 60s today! We are right smack in between two jet streams: the northern polar jet is over the mid-west, where it is cold and snowy. The southern branch of the jet stream is over the Gulf of Mexico and Florida, where rain showers have been keeping the Sunshine State a little damp. In between sits Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. And all three states have been enjoying high pressure, bright sunshine, and moderate temperatures. We will be in this same pattern through Thursday. |
