Severe Weather Threat... Friday Forecast

Good Morning... I'm Dawn Brown in the Channel 4 Weather Department. It is 3am, and I've been watching a line of thunderstorms continue to fire up from Lake Pontchartrain to Lower Lafourche Parish. The possiblity of lightning and heavy downpours continues with this line that has stalled over the coastal parishes.

A special marine warning continues for areas of coastal Mississippi.

Behind this line of storms, a cold front is making its way through SE Lousiana, bringing dry air into the picture for your Friday forecast.

Right now, we are still under a tornado watch for the far SE parishes and Southern Mississippi... it looks like the line of heavy thunderstorms will move off the coast by the morning commute.

I'll have another update at the 4am hour.
