Cold & Windy Start... A Wintry Mix?

Temperatures this morning are having trouble staying the 40s... as a cold, artic air mass continues to drop into our forecast region. A winter weather advisory is in effect for western Lousiana... and we may see a wintry mix... of rain/sleet on the northshore and some western parishes this afternoon and overnight. Expect temperatures in the upper 30s, especially on the northshore for later this afternoon and then dropping overnight. If you are commuting between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, use caution during the morning commute.

Also, take care on bridges and overpasses tonight, as temperatures on overpasses can dip below freezing while the surrounding roadways are fine.
