A tornado watch has been extended until 8pm for SE Lousiana and Southern Mississippi. A slow moving line of thunderstorms moving easterly across the forecast area has been known to produce damaging winds, locally heavy rainfall and dangerous lightning.

A flash flood watch is in effect until Sunday morning.
Flooding has been reported in and around Baton Rouge in association with this storm.
The line is expected to move through the New Orleans metro area between 2pm and 5pm this afternoon, with showers lingering until Sunday morning.

Expect clearing Sunday afternoon, with cool and breezy conditions New Year's Eve.
