The weather is on track for a good New Year's Eve forecast with good visibilities for fireworks.

Grab a light jacket or sweater if you're headed out the door... temperatures will be on the cool side this evening with temperatures around 61 at 7pm, dropping to 55 by midnight.

2007 will begin on a sunny note for SE Louisiana with sunny skies and temperatures in the 50s. Good football weather... both on the field and off!

The following is a list of rivers with flood warnings, their latest stage and the flood stage:
The Tangipahoa River is above flood stage.
Tangipahoa River near Robert: stage 15.5 feet, flood stage 15.0 feet.
Tickfaw River near Montpelier: stage 12.0 feet, flood stage 13.0 feet.
Pearl River near Pearl River: stage 9.2 feet, flood stage 14.0 feet.
Bogue Chitto River near Bush: stage 7.7 feet, flood stage 11.0 feet.
Pearl River near Bogalusa: stage 12.7 feet, flood stage 18.0 feet.

These rivers are expected to continue to rise in the next few days.
