We're seeing more heavy rain in the overnight hours... but it looks like most of the heavy activity may clear out in time for the Friday morning commute. Heavy showers are moving through the New Orleans metro area as of 2am... and will continue to provide heavy downpours over the metro area for the next hour before moving toward the Northeast. The heavy rainfall we've seen in SE Louisiana is part of a larger system dumping heavy snow across the Rockies... and now moving into the Upper Midwest. Behind this frontal system, we will see clear skies, dry air, and cooler temperatures leading into the weekend. By the way, today is the first full day of winter! |
