This Friday afternoon has been relatively calm...the powerful storm system is still west of Louisiana. That will change overnight, as the front moves this way. Storms will develop into the early morning hours, with a chance some could be strong to severe. Storms will be a possibility all day Saturday, until the front moves through Sat night. Rain showers will linger into Sunday morning, then clearing up for Sun afternoon. Sunday night (New Year's Eve) will be mostly cloudy, with skies beginning to clear. Depending on how much rain we get, we could see some fog Sun night. New Year's Day looks much nicer, with sunny skies and pleasant temps in the 60s. Stay with the Weather Center tonight and all day tomorrow for the latest in the changing weather. |
