Flash Flood Warning

5:10 AM Wed, Nov 15, 2006 |

 E-mail

A flash flood warning has been issued for Livingston, St. Tammany and Tangipahoa parishes... including the cities of Mandeville, Covington and Hammond. Heavy rainfall associated with strong thunderstorms moving from southern Tangipahoa Parish into St. Tammany is likely to produce flash flooding... flooding of small creeks and streams and highways and underpasses through 10am. An additional two to four inches of rainfall is possible.

Continue to monitor our Live Pinpoint Doppler and My Radar for the current rainfall.

The New Orleans metro area is getting a short break as isolated cells continue to dump heavy rainfall but most of the severe activity has moved to the north and the east and into Southern Mississippi.

For storm reports, double click on the Flash Flood Warning title at the top.
