Arctic Blast is Coming......

 E-mail

The coldest air of the season is on our doorstep this evening, as a strong cold front moves through Louisiana. Temperatures in Houston dropped about 40 degrees compared to just 24 hours ago, with most of the falling temperatures occuring within a few hours.

We can still expect a shower between 7:30pm and 9:30pm as the front moves through. Then comes the drastic temperature drop. Temperatures will drop 20-30 degrees in 1-3 hours once the front moves through. A Wind Advisory is in effect through Friday morning for very strong winds behind the front.

Friday morning will come with 30s and 40s, and wind chills in the 20s and 30s. Highs on Friday may not get out of the 40's in most areas. This weekend will also be chilly, with freezing temperatures north of the Lake Friday night, and highs in the 50s across the area, but feeling like the 40s.
