Weather Questions

7:26 AM Fri, Nov 03, 2006 |

This morning I answered a question about the difference between Dewpoint and Relative Humidity. Dewpoint is a measure of the moisture in the air, with the higher the dewpoint temperature the more moisture in the air. Typically, the summertime is when those dewpoints are the highest.

Relative humidity is dependent on temperature and dewpoint. The relative humidity can be high or low during any season. For example, we can have valu...

Hurricane Season: T Minus 30 Days

Laura Buchtel

Here we are at the first of November, with only 30 days left of the 2006 hurricane season. I looked back at past seasons, to see what storms (if any) had developed in November.

I had to go back to 2001 for the last season (before 2005) where we...
