The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for St. Helena Parish including the city of Greensburg.... moving northeast at about 40 miles per hour until 6 am.

Expect heavy rain and the possibility of damaging winds.

Showers and storms are expected to move through the entire area by late Friday afternoon.
