Today Southern Mississippi bore the brunt of the strong thunderstorms, Southeast Lousiana can expect a better chance of rain in the Sunday forecast. Tonight, there is still a 30% chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms across the area, otherwise warm, humid and breezy. Sunday, a cold front will make its way through the region. With the front approaching, we expect mostly cloudy skies Sunday with a 70-80% chance of rain and or thunderstorms. We could also see some strong thunderstorms with locally heavy rain, strong winds and the possibility of hail. As Carl mentioned, Monday will feel more like Fall. Tomorrow (specifically 2:38 am) is the anniversary of Hurricane Rita's landfall. I'll have more on Rita in tomorrow's blog. |
