2:26 PM Tue, Jul 25, 2006 |

A weak surface low is about 45 miles SW of Brownsville, TX over NE Mexico is still bringing alot of tropical moisture to Louisiana. With the low over land, development is not expected. It will be watched to see if it moves back over water, but at this time is not expected to.

The remainder of Tuesday afternoon & evening will be wet. As of 2:30pm, a cluster of strong thunderstorms extend from New Orleans east to the SE part of Lake Pontchartrain. This cluster is moving towards SE St. Tammany parish. A large area of light to moderate rain is moving over SE Louisiana. There may be some embedded heavier amounts during the afternoon and early evening. Some street flooding is possible in the usual flood prone areas.
