All day heating into the mid 90's and an outflow boundary from thunderstorms in Mississippi came across the lake late in the afternoon and sparked intense thunderstorms on the southshore. Some wind damage reported in Metairie around I-10 and Bonnabel and around Williams Blvd. in Kenner. Hail was reported as well. A severe thunderstorm warning for Orleans and St Bernard parishes until 8pm has been issued.
