Tropics:
Air Force Reservists in Biloxi may investigate a tropical wave in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico tomorrow if necessary. Right now the area of showers and thunderstorms is disorganized, but tropical moisture will contribute to our rain chances this week.
Lightning Safety:
Yesterday a viewer called from where she and her family were camping near Pearl River. They were caught out in the thunderstorms with no shelter in sight. Earlier this week, WWL-TV had some lightning safety tips on our website, with some comments from Chief Meteorologist Carl Arredondo. I thought I'd post them again. Here's the link to the story:
